Album Info:Norfolk Southern started rebuilding GP50's into 2000 hp non turbo units in 2004. The high short hood was replaced with a low nose / new cab. The center radiator fan on top was removed, leaving a large blank space between the two remaining fans. They are not equipped with microprocessors and retained their Super Series wheel slip control. Numbered 5801-5837, the last unit was completed in 2007.
